Good Saturday and Sunday to recharge the batteries. Abundant time to review some tracks/mixes and do some chores at home.
Got myself Pendulum's 2010 Essential Mix; oh my, what a great mix from the world's most famous drum & bass rock band. If you don't know Pendulum, i don't know where you've been.
This track by Gridlok and Dom, London's Burning was given a deep and sinister remix by the brilliant Prolix, and was featured in that mix. Beware of ear damage.

Mood Journal 23
Terrible day at work. Need to start looking elsewhere.
Negatives aside, Joshua Harvey a.k.a Herve and Rufio produced a highly dance-able, funky disco, carnival-ish, Arabesque house track in the form of Hot Rod; gets your body move on Friday night.

Stress. I'm having a lot of it lately; so much i think my hair's falling. Thank God for creating EDM, my sole mode for de-stressing.
Was listening to Noisia's EM on my way back from work; the Dutch trio really know how to pump the bass and blend in good amount of melodies and harmonics, and the track Deception from their latest album 'Split The Atom' personifies that.

Mood Journal 22
Busy, busy week really. Had a topsy-turvy experience while working in Ipoh. Thank goodness i'm still in one piece and typing here.
Listened to Marco V's latest release, The Art Of (TAO) compilation mix, the other day; it was awesomely mixed by the Dutch master. This particular track by NDSA remixed by the brilliant Save the Robot (again?!) shines the most.
p/s: Can't believe Seb Leger, J00F and Noisia didn't make the top 100 DJ list. Farce indeed. Marco V only got to #67 with my first pick *blergh*

Played PES 2011 over the weekend at friend's place. More awesome added into an already awesome football game. If you are football game manic, make PES the game you buy.
Speaking of awesome, Daniel Portman did it again. His recent tune, Darkside is just simply mind-blowing. Though you might have to jack up the bpm a bit for maximum pleasure, like i always do to certain progressive/tech house releases.

Mood Journal 20
Been sick for three days.
Overwork and horrible weather is a 'fatal' mix.
Currently relaxing and recharging my batteries at home. While surfing around for DJmag news, found this excellent classic from year 1992 by 3 Phase. Even after nearly two decades, Der Klang Der Familie is still surprisingly fresh.

Mood Journal 19
Tired, fatigued, weary.
Yet, was fun meeting so many professionals, event management is really my thing, i guess.
Good music is the best way to unwind a long day. On my way back home today, a psy-trance track by Delirious caught my attention and i had to share it this goodie.

Urgh.
Been consuming dirt, dust, sand and sweat whole week.
Had to skip Carl Cox.
Urgh urgh.
Was skimming through my collection and found a very underrated trance tune by Moonbeam, remixed by Terry Ferminal. What do you think ?

Crossroad again.
Decision time again.
Should or should not?
Not exactly a tune that mirrors my mood, but it's cheeky stuff from Cajmere, coupled with a Riva Starr remix. Warming up for Carl Cox at Zouk KL this Friday.

Mood Journal 16
Decided to recycle my Mood Journal header for each post.
It's been two years of detachment from my blog. Went through scores of ups and downs, getting older and wiser. Folks around my age starting to build families of their own, changing their taste and lifestyle. Been wondering much, what has life got to offer ?
How would you walk a path not knowing what lies ahead ?
How do you persist in walking the chosen path and being faithful ?
I believe many people question themselves, how, why, when, where to tread the path. Do you ?
Wrapping up with a chilling, synth pop with traces of euphoric trance by Masmod.
